SUSPENDED PARTY PAVILION

DRONNINGGAARD, FURESØ (DENMARK)

BUILDING COMPONENT DESIGN COURSE (DTU)

In Furesø, west of DTU, there is a place called Dronninggaard. Once it was a royal palace, and then it became the home of a rich tradesman with an international background and network.

We have been allowed to use a tiny island for a party. For the party a temporary structure can be built, beign able to build it with our own skills within one day, and disassemble it after use.

We decided to design a late summer party, but trying to preserve as much aas possible the place, and leave as less footprints as possible afte the party, so all the elements will be handed from the trees, crating the suspended party theme.

The pavilion consists on a plastic structure easy to assemble with jeasy connections and to connect the structure to the trees creating the cover space for the party.
